Louise Hallo

Louise joined Emmanuel College in 2018 following 15 years specialising in adolescent and young adult health and wellbeing in not-for-profit and hospital settings in Australia and the UK, including Red Kite, the Australian cancer charity that supports children and young people, and Kings College Hospital, London. She undertook her Bachelor of Social Work degree at The University of Queensland, while residing at Duchesne College, and received her Graduate Certificate in Adolescent Health and Wellbeing from The University of Melbourne. In 2019 Louise was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to travel to Harvard and Yale in the US to study healthy sexual development and preventative health measures for young people in a University environment. Louise’s strong appreciation of what college life offers and the wonderful community it creates is invaluable in her work with and support for the students of Emmanuel.

Allison Henry

Allison Henry commenced as a PhD candidate with the Australian Human Rights Institute in 2018. Her PhD is focused on regulatory responses to sexual assault and sexual harassment in Australian university settings. Allison’s doctoral studies follow on from her role as the Campaign Director of The Hunting Ground Australia Project from 2015 to 2018 – a collaborative impact campaign that was instrumental in raising awareness of sexual violence on Australian university campuses.

Allison has been the Managing Editor of the Australian Human Rights Journal since August 2020. Allison was the project researcher on the Institute's pilot project, Understanding University Responses to HDR Candidate-Supervisor Relationship Challenges, with a research team from UNSW and the University of Melbourne.

Allison has led her consulting firm, Millwood Consulting, since 2012 – primarily working with not for profit and non-government organisations on public policy projects. Her previous roles include five years as a Ministerial advisor in the federal parliament and three years as National Director of the Australian Republican Movement.
