Dear members,
I hope our May newsletter finds you well. It is my pleasure to share some important community updates with you.
1. 2023 Forum Updates
Over the past two months, the UCA Forum Committee has been working hard to pull together an interesting annual conference, which will be taking place in Canberra between 26 – 28 September. Over the coming weeks, we will be launching our online ticket portal, so please stay tuned.
Please note that we have a special accommodation discount code for the Park Hyatt Canberra: G-BQTS. You can use this code at checkout for a more affordable stay at our conference venue.
For those who do not wish to stay at the Hyatt, we are also considering providing a minibus service from Barton. This area is a hotel hub that includes options like Hotel Realm and the Little National Canberra.
Finally, a friendly reminder that proposals for Forum presentations are due on 9 June. Please email them to forum@universitycollegesaustralia.org in the format specified in our previous communications.
2. Online Conversations
Following an outstanding presentation by Professors Anne Twomey and Ken Hinchcliff on The Voice, our next online talk will focus on media relations. This session is a crash course on proactive and reactive communications run by Kate Elix (Director of Marketing, Communications and Events at Trinity College, The University of Melbourne), Gabee Reyes (Consultant at Adoni Media) and Leisa Goddard (Managing Director at Adoni Media).
The session will be held on 14 June 2023 at 2pm on Zoom.

3. Marts&Lundy Azure Summit Australia 2023
We were recently notified that the inaugural Marts&Lundy Azure Summit Australia will be taking place in Sydney from 27-28 August. This intensive two-day event is ideal for university colleges looking to diversify their funding streams through strategic fundraising campaigns.
This summit will integrate best global practices with an Australian perspective, ensuring relevance and effective learning for all participants. For more details, visit https://theazuresummit.org/au/.
4. 2023 Remuneration Survey
A warm thank you to everyone who participated in the 2023 Remuneration Survey. The draft report will be reviewed by the UCA Executive Committee at its next meeting and will be distributed shortly after.
As always, we appreciate your engagement and support.
